Frank Delgado Jr. My Uncle Marin September 13, 2017
I remember as far back as I can in my childhood, and I remember a few men. I remember my father, I remember my uncle Pie, and i remember my Uncle Marin. My Uncle Marin ( Marvin) was my tough uncle. He was the uncle who had the nicest car, he was my strongest uncle. He was the meanest and the toughest in my eyes. I respected him and I heard stories my entire life about how my Uncle Marin was the enforcer of the Tapia family. Everyone in the Tapia family respected him. He loved being a Barber in his middle age. I remember him practicing on me and giving me several haircuts. As he got older, my Uncle Marvin changed. His toughness and the respect he comanded never changed, but he began to focus on his family. When i spoke at his Bellorio, I couldnt get the words out because I became chocked up whenever I thought about how much he loved his family. He had a Huuuuggee family and whenver we had family get-togethers, the love in his family was demonstrated by a couple of new comers every year. He grew his family by letting all of them know that a Family is what makes a man. A Family is all a man has to show for himself in the end. In the end Uncle Marin, you showed us alot. Thanks for being the tough Uncle and for showing us the meaning of family. God Bless you and take care of you. I hope you are listening to a Gerardo Reyes song and singing along. Everytime I hear one of his songs, I think of you. Rest In Peace, I know we will see you again. Everyone misses you.   Ungie.
